MY BLOGGER EXPERIENCE

First of all I would like to explain that this kind of websites I don’t like so much, actually I don’t have facebook, fotolog, or that kind of things, personally believe that we don’t need them to be happy also is a waste of time at least for me. However with my blog I feel very comfortable, since I could learn lot of new thighs, new useful websites and I could improve my English written skills. Moreover, to have lab session is better as a technique in the classroom because we don’t do the same monotonous thing everyday.

About the advantages and disadvantages, obviously we had more advantages because all of us, could improve our English (some more than others) and at the same time enjoying the class. I will use my blog for a long time since could be a tool to further improve my English grammar. The only thing that I will change is the topic, not because was bored but maybe I’m going to write about thing less important.

My weaknesses….. I thing I have lot of weaknesses about English, however the things is that I have to study more every single day to transform them in strengths for my future. A good way could be study English on holydays and be nearer of it.

To sump up, I’m going to thank Miss Bea the opportunity given, to learn new interesting and useful things, also I want you to know that I’m going to miss when you called me parrot!!

I chose the first piece of new, because it is related with global warming and this is a very common topic in our career. The new inform us about a small and impoverished community of Gabura in Bangladesh, and how the rising sea levels, devastation of crops and the increased likelihood of devastating cyclones, is affecting their lives. At the end of the new show us that we can stop with this damage, because we are responsible about it. This information is related with our country and with the whole word because if we do not do anything to stop it, all of us will be victims of global warming.

The second one I chose because I found it funny and interesting because is about a recent research which present evidence that domestic pigs can quickly learn how mirrors work and will use their understanding of reflected images to scope out their surroundings and find their food, saying that their could be in the same rank that apes or dolphins. Therefore we will think in pig’s intelligence when we are eating it!!
The third was a short one about an 18-year-old Melbourne student will front court charged with trafficking heroin and ecstasy at his secondary school.But he was remanded on bail to appear at the Court. That’s related with Chile because there we have the same cases even with younger people and they pay for their liberty caused the “revolving doors” and making the same mistakes over and over again.
Those newspaper were very useful because we can practice our reading comprehension skills but it’s could be better if we have the opportunity to read national news!!

After thinking for a while it came to my mind a very good movie. First of all, I was thinking in an Al pacino’s movie, because in my opinion he is a wonderful actor, besides he’s really handsome. But, referring to a movie, I choose one that I saw when I was 19. It is called “DONNIE DARKO” which is a science fiction movie directed by Richard Kelly. This film is about a troubled teenager called Donald or Donnie (Jake Gyllenhaal) who starts having visions because he suffer schizophrenia and he stopped taking his medicines that’s why he imagines a rabbit called Frank (James Duval) which said when exactly the world will end.
Donnie started to be confused with his hallucinations. He cancelled the school and met a woman. Then they have a good relationship. Also he starts to investigate about a travel time, he looks for a book because he wants to know what is happening to him…..
But I can’t say anything else because you must see this movie which I like a lot because is not the classical movie with a happy ending. Many things happen there that you never imagine that could happen. So if you have time this weekend is a good idea to watch this movie.

My personality

Sometimes I don’t like to know how I am, but in this case it was funny because I did an interesting quiz in which you have to choose different things about your personality. When I finished the quiz I checked the image comparison and I realized that I am not like other women and this makes me feel good. That’s why I believe in this website.
On the other hand, I like to read the sentence: “Family time is top of the pops for you” because that’s remained me my “catita” and makes feel pride on her.
About the website I like it because I learn a lot of new words, also I learn a lot about me, because you can find another interesting quizzes, and in my opinion this is a better way to improve our English skills and fix our mistakes in our personal lives .
So, if you have time, make it!!!!!!!

The Power is in our hands

I would like to start saying that Mr. Ken Robinson wasn’t right in his speak, but unfortunately we know that he was. Certainly in our education system, there are many problems to solve. Everyone talk about them, but nobody do anything and that’s why in our country we have bad education. Maybe creativity could be a good way to start improving our education system. It needs a change, and to make a change we need to be creative.

Robinson had and important point of view about creativity because children are more likely to don’t be afraid of innovating also they don’t care about how they are seen by others. Secondly, in our school is not important to be creative because we don’t receive any incentive, and it is difficult in our culture do something without receiving any recognition. Nowadays our culture pushes us to follow models without being critics, actually it pushes us to be conformists.
But as I always say we have the power in our hands….

My option

To begin with I would like to say that english pedagogy wasn't my fist option,but I chose because anyway I like to think that I'm going to be a teacher. I feel very good when I think that I’m going to be responsible of the learning of many people.
I chose Universidad Alberto Hurtado because when I was researching it was one of the most well known for teachers who work in, also because it was recommending for teachers, friends and the cherry on top of the cake it was that is nearest to my house.
In my opinion English teachers make a huge contribution in our society because English will become an international language and we have to learn it to be in the same category as other countries.
As teachers in the future we are going to need support of the state to make our work easier and useful, but nowadays I’m just a student who likes to dream with this.
Finally, I’m going to finish because I have to read for TIPE which is my favorite subject because I learn a lot about pedagogy :-(

BBC learning english games

Today we did a good job, it was funny to learn with games I felt like a little girl...
To begin with I didn't understand what I had to do, but then I got the hang of the game.

The only thing that It was difficult It was the Flatmates, maybe because I've never heard about it and personally, I prefer to see Dr. House instead of soup operas jajajaja.

So, I hope that miss bea shows us lot of websites like these....
